Hi, I'm Oliver!

Provisional Psychologist
& Movie Buff

Bachelor of Psychological Science – Honours (First Class)

Oliver has experience working as a Patient Services Assistant at Flinders Medical Centre while completing his undergraduate degree. This involved transporting patients to and from different wards and clinics throughout the hospital, along with cleaning and maintaining the wards. Once completing his honours degree, Oliver then worked as a Patient and Family Representative at Flinders Medical Centre, which saw him gaining feedback on the hospital experience through interviews with patients in the High Dependency Unit and the Extended Emergency Care Unit. This role allowed Oliver to then represent and advocate for the mental and physical wellbeing of patients. Oliver has been working at Life Skills Hub since July 2022 and in this time has been supporting a caseload of children and young adults, to support their mental wellbeing.

Oliver’s approach to clients is friendly, open, empathetic and collaborative. He prides himself on his ability to adapt to the individual, and values the time spent building rapport as this is essential for an effective therapeutic relationship to be formed. Particularly one that fosters engagement and allows the client to have a part in shaping the session and its content. Oliver values being able to give young people the skills and strategies to be able to put their best foot forward when navigating their future.

Oliver is an avid gamer, aiming to play as many and as wide of a variety of them as he can, time permitting. He also enjoys reading, both novels and comic books; and has an interest in movies/tv-shows, both new and old.

Oliver can support clients in the areas of:

  • Emotional literacy

  • Social Skills

  • Anxiety/Depression

  • Emotional Regulation
