Hi, I'm Dylan!

Occupational Therapist

Dylan is a qualified occupational therapist, completing his Master of Occupational Therapy in 2020. Dylan also has a Bachelor of Human Movement. He has worked with a diverse range of clients in private practise before commencing his employment at Life Skills Hub in early 2023. Dylan also has a background in exercise science and personal training. 

  

Dylan’s joins Life Skills Hub with 2 years of experience working with kids and young people with disabilities and is passionate about helping them to develop their skills and confidence. 

 

Dylan has a practical and client centred approach to occupational therapy and supporting young people. He believes that getting a wholistic view of a person and their individual situation is important to ensure that they can achieve their goals. Dylan highly values respect and dignity for his clients. Dylan has an interest and experience working with neurodiverse clients and is committed to providing a neurodiversity affirming approach.    

  

Dylan understands the impact that mental health can have on engagement and function and works with this in mind. He always tries to make sure his sessions are fun and rewarding for his clients and their families.  

  

In his spare time Dylan enjoys spending time with friends, adventuring outdoors, cooking and listening to music.  

  

Dylan has and continues to seek training in the following:  

  • Sensory processing 

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy 

  • Puberty and sexual health 

 

Dylan has a special interest in:  

  • Supporting clients to develop life skills, such as cooking and public transport.  

  • Helping young people to develop emotional regulation and social skills.  

  • Supporting client to implement strategies that support their sensory processing needs.
