Get Crafty is a structured craft group that has been specifically designed by Life Skills Hub. This group gathers the creative minds of young people to further develop fine motor and social skills, as well as executive functioning skills such as ideation and sequencing.
Participants will be provided with the opportunity to showcase their creativity, perseverance and confidence within the program.
Get Crafty aims to support participants to:
Enhance fine motor skills such as hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
Further develop social skills are used every day to interact and communicate with others, speak in front of others, and work collaboratively.
Support identification of shapes, colours, and textures, whilst working with materials that support participants to get messy and engage in tactile experiences.
Create an environment that is fun and relaxing at the same time as encouraging speech, gestures, facial expressions, and body language.
Develop the ability to focus, concentrate, and minimize distractions whilst completing a craft project from start to finish.
Increased community access, providing opportunities for participants to interact with others within the community.

This group is offered flexibly throughout the year as requested.

Monday-Friday: $47.00 per session
Saturday: $62.00 per session
Costs are inclusive of $2 capital cost to contribute towards materials and snacks, and 10 minutes preparation/individual client note writing.
